Sub vs Dub: Which Is Actually Better?

What they actually mean
Sub means the original Japanese audio with subtitles. Dub means the show re-recorded in your language so you can watch without reading.
The case for subs
You get the original performances, the exact timing of jokes, and access to everything the instant it airs (dubs come later). Purists swear by it.
The case for dubs
Modern English dubs are genuinely excellent, and you can multitask, glance at your phone, or actually watch the animation instead of reading. Many all-time-great performances are dubs.
The real answer
For a beginner, it does not matter. Start with whatever keeps you watching, and switch anytime, sometimes mid-show. The "correct" choice is the one that gets you to episode 12.
